The original link on page 2 has Boulder as the top city for % of total
population in the 200,000 to 499,999 but Boulder only has 101,000
people. The link above is correct and has Madison as the top city for
this population range.

> The League of American Bicyclists just issued a report on bike commuting in
> US cities. I've always felt that Madison didn't get its due because we were
> not one of the largest 50 (or 70) cities, so we get left off the list of
> "top cities."
>
> But the new report shows how well we do in a number of categories:
>
> 11th overall in the shear number of bike commuters. Pretty impressive,
> considering we are 92nd in size in the US.
>
> By percent of commuters:
> #1 in the Midwest
> #1 in cities over 200,000 (Take that Portland and Minneapolis, who are
> always ranked # 1 and 2 in most surveys.)
> #1 for coldest cities
> #1 for snowiest cities
> #9 overall by bike share - and all above us are smaller, and all are
> college communities
>
> We are also way, way ahead of any other city our size - 200k - 300k. In
> Madison 6.23 percent of people get to work by bike. The next closest is
> Boise, ID with 2.78 percent.
>
> However, we should not be resting on our laurels, because we do NOT rank
> anywhere in the 50 cities where bike commuting is growing the fastest.
> Wisconsin is also # 13 as a state in percent of bike commuters, bested by
> some other very rural and also cold-winter states. Wisconsin also isn't
> seeing big gains in the percent of people biking to work. Tennessee had
> more than a 100% increase 2005-2012. (Of course, if you start low, it's
> easier to make gains.)
>
> Great job to everyone who has worked so hard to make biking easier, safer,
> and more fun. But let's not let up on doing even better. We don't want to
> slip in the rankings!
