Today's issue is "Utility vs. Sport." That is, non-biking friends and
colleagues that see to think riding a bike to the store requires all sorts
of special clothing.

Of course, living in Boston, she probably also gets the question, "Don't
you get cold in the winter?" My favorite answer is something along the
lines of, "Yes, but I'd be cold doing just about anything outdoors in
January, including scraping the ice off my windshield and waiting for the
car to warm up. Since I have clothes suitable to walk to the bus stop,
shovel the sidewalk, XC ski, and shop on State St, I figure I can wear the
same clothes to go to work."
