Oops! It was an accident! I didn't mean to climb inside a rigid box weighing thousands of pounds and accelerate it to speeds which are likely to injure - and can easily kill - any un-armored human being who fails to get out of my way. All I wanted was to be free!
Oops! Who could have predicted it? I didn't mean to drive the neighborhood grocer, pharmacy, and hardware store out of businesses! All I wanted was greater selection, lower prices, and plenty of free parking near the front door. Oops! It just "happened"! I didn't mean to make my community more dangerous, impractical, and unpleasant for OTHER people to walk, roll wheelchairs, push baby strollers, ride bicycles, and share motorized forms of transit. All I wanted was to go where I want, when I want, as often as I want, as fast as I can, as effortlessly and comfortably as possible, and with minimal risk to myself. .Hey! Who stole my "community"?
