I worked on development of the Wisconsin vulnerable users bill when I was on the Bike Fed board and chair of its legislative committee. I had to take a year's break due to term limits. You re-elected me and the first meeting of the new board will be late January. We had a plan to enact this legislation when I left, but everything apparently got messed up in the transition in executive directors. My first priority will be enacting this measure. If the legislature and governor can give enhanced protections to garbage collectors, which they did during this session, they can give them to us, the ordinary people who walk and bike the streets.
