Job listing, in case anyone might be looking or wants a change of pace. If anyone is not familiar with Streetsblog, you should be. They cover all sorts of transportation and land-use topics, but definitely from a "better urban design" and "less driving alone" perspective. I think most Bikies would find the content pretty interesting. (Of course, I'm a huge transportaiton geek, so YMMV.)
They are looking for a managing editor. The original Streetsblog was in New York, but they have since branched out to Chicago, DC (which also covers federal policy and national news), LA, San Francisco, and a "network" of stories and links from all of the above plus other news sources. I'm not sure if the Managing Editor is for the New York version or the overall network. Although preference will be given to candidates in the NYC area, the position can be based anywhere. http://chi.streetsblog.org/2014/01/14/were-hiring-streetsblog-is-searching-for-a-managing-editor/ Robbie Webber Transportation Policy Analyst State Smart Transportation Initiative www.ssti.us 608-263-9984 (o) [email protected]
