The recent post on kids riding reminded me to share a great local resource for cargo bikes (including your most precious cargo).
In researching new options for my family I found The Cargo Bike Shop <http://www.thecargobikeshop.com/> (http://www.thecargobikeshop.com/) to be a tremendous resource. Though I had seen a number of different options cruising around town I had no idea where to buy them, if I would like them, or even what they were called. The owner of Madison's The Cargo Bike Shop, Tim, has really helped me to figure out the right fit for me, my kids, and our budget. Tim introduced me to several different options and even has demo bikes and attachments for you and your family to try out. I can not stress how helpful this is, especially when it involves finding the a bike that fits for multiple parents and kids in the house. The Cargo Bike Shop has kid's accessories, front-loading cargo/work bikes, long tails and, some of these models outfitted with electric assist. This is a great local resource that I've found to be very helpful, enjoyable to work with, and aligned with my values WRT to non-motorized transportation. I hope you'll check them out if you're interested and as lost as I was. Tim and The Cargo Bike Shop can be reached at [email protected].
