TLDR:: Board of Supers is expected to pass this measure, which is basically
to allow Idaho stops, in December, but the mayor has pledged to veto it.

This story is currently running on the front page of the online
international edition.

I happen to be in SF at the moment, armed with a bicycle, and I'm impressed
with the infrastructure strides that have been made, if not so much at the
strides in motorist behaviour. There are well-marked separated (mostly by
paint) bike paths, pervasive sharrows, and good signage. And scads of
cyclists, almost all of whom seem to be 20-somethings.
