I ride Quarry Park. Amazing MTB trails! Very technical. They were developed
gradually over years, without the kind of IMBA-grade planning that went
into Seminole Trails or Quarry Ridge Park - so there is not a clearly
defined XC/flow loop. I had to muddle around before I figured one out, more
or less.

The park needs to be carefully shared with dog walkers. Generally you want
to bike there at dawn, or in the late afternoon-evening. Starting around
8:30am, you see people arriving with their dogs.

Also, there is a lot of singletrack in dense woods without a clear riding
direction. That would help.

My understanding is that for a long time the City did not officially
promote biking in Quarry Park, but knew about it and tolerated it. Bicycling
is not listed <https://www.cityofmadison.com/parks/parks/park.cfm?id=1355>
as an activity at this park, on the City website.

Last year CORP agreed to help improve Quarry Park, with the City's support.
Here's a Bike Fed blog post
<http://wisconsinbikefed.org/2014/12/10/madisons-quarry-park-a-lesson-in-how-to-get-along/>
about that.

I would love to attend this meeting, but I have a schedule issue. I hope
other MTB advocates will attend and report back.

Cheers,
Peter
