Bike rider hit in Cross Plains collision identified By Julie Carpenter Lotz Connect <http://www.wkow.com/story/32463906/2016/07/17/bike-rider-hit-in-cross-plains-collision-identified> Posted: Jul 17, 2016 12:51 PM CST Updated: Jul 17, 2016 12:51 PM CST MADISON ( WKOW) – The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified a bicyclist who died following a crash involving a pickup truck Friday morning. A news release issued this morning says Cynthia Arsnow, 62, died from her injuries. She was from Madison. The crash happened on USH 14 west of Stagecoach Road in the Town of Cross Plains. The ME's office says additional testing is underway and the death remains under investigation by them and the Dane County Sheriff’s Office. The sunlight would have been behind her (although I think this morning is was cloudy and/or a few drops of rain, but not enough for that to be a factor), so the driver couldn't say the sun was in his eyes. Driver veers onto the shoulder. "Inattentive driving appears to be a factor in the crash...." How bad do things have to be for a driver to be charged?
