Passing along some sad news to those of you who knew carl DuRocher. Carl died
earlier today. I believe he was 73. He spent his last night with dozens of his
friends.

I knew Carl as an active member of the Madison Homebrewers and Tasters
Guild--serving for several years as treasurer, active on MHTG's charitable
giving committee, shuttle coordinator for the Great Taste of the Midwest, among
other roles. Outside of MHTG he was involved with refurbishing computers for
people with disabilities.

I post here, of course, because many of you knew Carl (or knew of Carl) for his
decades of advocacy for accessible transportation and his 12 years of service
on the city's Transit and Parking Commission.

Details on Carl's memorial service are pending, but I understand that it will
be Friday at Cress on East Washington.
