Hello,
I’m new to the binc world but I plan to deploy it instead of courier imap on new mail server. I noticed that there seems to be two standards for the imap world the Maildir++ and the IMAPDir. I was hoping for some recommendations on which to use. Here are my requirements:
IMAP access will be via Outlook XP
Users need to be able to create subfolders in their inbox
I also need the capability of having “shared folders” , Maildirs that multiple users use. We have kind of a call center type environment (on a smaller scale) where we need mail to come into one folder and then individuals will move it to their personal folder to claim ownership of the case. (It’s mainly used for separating foreign language emails to the people who speak them)
This is a new install, we had an offsite email provider whose servers have gone crazy and so we are bringing it in house, so I also want to choose the most stable option.
So what should it be, Maildir++ or IMAPDir, and how do shared folders work in the respective one?
Thanks for any assistance,
