Hello, I've got problem with bind 9.5.0 P2 on FreeBSD 7.0 amd64 . Since upgrade I've received in logs something like this:
Oct 14 18:45:55 ns3 named[82577]: 14-Oct-2008 18:45:55.666 edns-disabled: info: too many timeouts resolving 'ns1.joi.pl/A' (in 'joi.pl'?): disabling EDNS Oct 14 18:45:55 ns3 named[82577]: 14-Oct-2008 18:45:55.668 edns-disabled: info: too many timeouts resolving 'ns2.joi.pl/A' (in 'joi.pl'?): disabling EDNS Oct 14 18:45:55 ns3 named[82577]: 14-Oct-2008 18:45:55.843 edns-disabled: info: too many timeouts resolving 'poqclkwytd7.org/A' (in 'poqclkwytd7.org'?): disabling EDNS I think that messages like this kill my machine because I receive about thousands requests per second. Is there any possibility to disable edns ( I don't think about setting up log to null ;)) ? Or maybe I can tune my bind to work properly with this requests ? I read that answers like this may cause wrong configuration on firewall or nat but I tried this without any firewall and got the same. I have also another machine with linux on board which works better and got similar load. Best regards, Shamrock
