If you can stand to use a version of bind officially listed as beta, you might try 9.5.1b3. It fixes a bug in the cache cleaning and increases the default max-cache-size. As far as I can tell, it is not less stable than 9.5.0-P2. >On Fri, 14 Nov 2008 09:26:37 +0200 >Daniel Dawalibi <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > >> Hi, >> >> >> >> >> After upgrading from our Bind version to Bind 9.5.0-P2 we faced many >> resolving problems such "Server Failed" messages on any valid domain. >> >> >> >> # nslookup >> >> Default Server: localhost >> >> Address: 127.0.0.1 >> >> >> >> > www.google.com >> >> Server: localhost >> >> Address: 127.0.0.1 >> >> >> >> > ***Server Failed **** >> >> >> >> >> >> The server failed messages occurred when the number of recursive clients >> reach a certain number (i.e : 400 recursive clients) >> >> >> >> >> >> Output of the command rndc: >> >> >> >> ./rndc status >> >> recursive clients: 349/10000 >> >> tcp clients: 6/100 >> >> server is up and running >> >> >> >> >> >> Any idea about this issue? >> >> >> >> >> >> Regards, >> >> Daniel >> >> >> >> > > >-- >Torsten Segner <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > -- Tom Schulz [EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ Bind-users mailing list Bind-users@lists.isc.org https://lists.isc.org/mailman/listinfo/bind-users
