However it would be very usefull if "dig" could outpout the inverse

I mean if I use "dig -x a.b.c.d" and Dig woud not onle respond with

"xn--mgbaajmr6mmaps.xn--ygb8b" but also in a second line the
translated
domainname. Somehing like
I think that part of the issue with that is that the console might get
very grumpy if it is not UTF8 clean -- if your console only speaks
ASCII (like VT100/102) and you try to output UTF8, it barfs horribly.
I guess that dig could try and work out if things are safe, but that
seems fraught with peril and platform specific nonsense...
