In future please copy/paste the commands you have ran and the output so we can see the exact responses. What response do you get when you run a `dig` or `nslookup` for the hostname? (Ping does not test DNS, it may attempt a DNS query but it does not fully test DNS). Did you try the FQDN of the host?
