You can put '-t aaaa' in .digrc and dig will default to AAAA queries.
Unfortunately in the version I have this also overrides the default PTR
type for -x queries. Other queries seem to work fine. (DiG 9.8.5-P1,
supplied with Mac OS X 10.8).
