Ada juga brand tertentu yang menjual SSL VPN secara terpisah menyangkut performance seperti WatchGuard SSL VPN. SSL VPN : Hanya butuh browser dan kamu terdaftar dalam VPN Server IPSec : Membutuhkan aplikasi IPSec untuk bisa melakuukan akses. Banyak vendor yang punya feature gini, seperti fortinet, cisco, sonicwall, juniper, etc. Ketika user konek ke SSL VPN, akan ada semacem virtual network connection yg di create (tunneling) atau pake semacem activex/java tuk load remote controlnya, dan yg tunneling bisa dapet IP dari SSL VPN. Jadi bisa dipake buat aplikasi client server, upload / download data. jadi setelah konek secara tunnel , juga bisa map drive. tp harus di set di firewall.
