-------- Original Message -------- Subject: Cetacean Assessment position at pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center Date: Thu, 27 May 2010 09:05:55 -1000 From: Erin Oleson <erin.ole...@noaa.gov> Organization: NOAA Hi folks, I'm currently looking for a Cetacean Assessment specialist to work in the Cetacean Research Program at Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center. In particular, I need someone with strong quantitative skills and training (and hopefully experience) with both traditional survey methods (line & point transect, mark-recapture) and statistically savvy enough to adapt those techniques and others for new assessment applications (mobile and stationary acoustics, fisheries-dependent surveys, telemetry applications, etc.). If you know of a good candidate, please do pass along my email address and point them to the official announcement for this position at usajobs.com, announcement # NMFS-PIC-2010-0026. Applicants must be US citizens. Just a few incentives- We will authorize payment of moving expenses and Federal employees in Hawaii earn a tax-exempt 20.90% cost-of-living-allowance. Thanks so much for your help in getting the word out!
