As part of the human resource development activities in Bioinformatics, the BCS-ISB offers 4-6 month Traineeship /Studentship in bioinformatics. Applications are invited for the Traineeship/Studentship for undertaking advanced training and to carry out project work in the area of Bioinformatics. Applicant should possess UG and PG degree/ UG and PG diploma in Bioinformatics/Biotechnology for traineeship whereas those pursuing PG degree/PG diploma in Bioinformatics/Biotechnology are eligible for studentship. The traineeship and the studentship are awarded for a period of four to six months from the date of joining and are not extendable. The selected candidates are entitled to receive a stipend up to Rs. 5000/- per month for a period of 4-6 months.* BCS-ISB can also offer free bioinformatics training to the deserving candidate. Best on your performance BCS-ISB can increase or decrease your Studentship/Traineeship money. The main selection criteria are the candidates’ academic qualification, the academic quality of the research proposal and the suitability of the project for the BCS-ISB’s research programme. Short- listed candidates will be invited to a 30-minute interview; telephone interviews can be arranged for candidates from overseas.
