Since I occasionally get complaints and questions about software
installation, I added a wiki page on this.  Please take a look, and if
you have a non-Linux system (Mac, Windows, or other Unix), let me know
if you are able to install, say, 'flower', and how you did it.  (Or
just update/improve the wiki page, of course.)

Given recent discussions in haskell-café, I'm a bit worried that 'cabal
install --global' might cause difficulties, or whether I should
recommend getting the Haskell Platform from upstream rather than from
the distribution.  Any opinions or experiences in that regard?
