Purpose: To encourage open software development by the NCI and NIH
intramural research communities, this open discussion offers guidance for
developing and releasing research software source code in a free “open
access” or “open source” format permitting research community members to
use the code, modify it, and/or redistribute it. The objective of this
session is to share and discuss guidance concerning the distribution of
research software.
