The *Federal Big Data Summit* will be held on June 18, 2015 at the Marriott
Metro Center in Washington, D.C.

This educational symposium, which is *free to government and academia*,
will feature subject matter experts from the Federal government and
academia. In the morning, there will be informative panels discussing *Using
Big Data and Analytics to Enhance Mission Capabilities*; *The Emergence of
the Chief Data Officer*; and *Data and Analytics of the Future*.

In the afternoon, the educational and interactive *MITRE-ATARC Big Data
Collaboration Symposium* will be held, where subject-matter experts from
government and industry will collaborate in a small-group setting, focusing
on “challenge areas” within Big Data and Analytics. The outputs of these
technical sessions will then be compiled in a White Paper of industry best
practices and lessons learned with recommendations to the Federal
government.

Throughout out the day, attendees can visit the *ATARC Big Data
Technology Showcase*, where the latest in cutting-edge technology will be
demonstrated by leading innovators in the Big Data and Analytics space.
This showcase provides government participants the ability to conduct
valuable market research.

The host organization of the Federal Big Data Summit is the *Advanced
Technology Academic Research Center* (ATARC). ATARC is a non-profit
organization that introduces innovative technology from academic research
labs to the Federal government and private industry, and provides a
collaborative forum for Federal Government, academia and industry to
resolve emerging technology challenges.
