Practical Bioinformatics BIOF 429 September 15 – November 17 Wednesdays 5 – 8 pm at the NIH Library Dr. Medha Bhagwat, NIH Library Bioinformatics Support Program Coordinator, will offer a 2 credit course “Practical Bioinformatics” at FAES. The course provides practical applications of publicly available bioinformatics resources for analysis of genomic, expression and proteomic data, including clinical and cancer genomics and high-throughput technologies such as next generation sequencing and microarray. The course will encompass information currently covered in the bioinformatics classes offered through the NIH Library http://nihlibrary.ors.nih.gov/bioinfo/ . Each class includes a lecture/demo and a hands-on session.
