What: NCI Cloud Pilot introductory session
When: Friday, March 25, 1pm-4pm
Where: Bldg 37, Room 4041/4107 (fourth floor conference room) and online
(https://webmeeting.nih.gov/bioifx/)

Intended audience:
 - biological and bioinformatics researchers working on genomics interested in
a cloud solution for data analysis
 - Investigators interested in mining or querying TCGA data
 - open to non-NCI folks studying cancer as well

Background:
As many of you may be aware, the NCI has sponsored the development of three
Cancer Genomics Cloud Pilot projects meant to democratize access to large
datasets like TCGA as well as to provide flexible tools for querying and
analyzing existing and new data (including your own datasets). In the first of
a series of sessions meant to introduce these Cancer Genomics Cloud Pilots, we
will present an overview and example use cases of the SevenBridges Cloud Pilot
Platform.

You can access this platform using your NIH credentials via the “eRA Commons”
login tab at:

https://cgc.sbgenomics.com/

This session will include a walkthrough that is optionally hands-on, so bring
your laptop to get the most out of the session.

Proposed Agenda:

1-1:30:
   Overview of NCI Cloud Pilots
   Ishwar Chandramouliswaran, CBIIT, NCI
1:30-3:30pm:
   Introduction to the SevenBridges platform
   Hands-on Case Browser example
   Hands-on Data Browser example
   Hands-on RNA-seq alignment example
