Probably the packages just weren't updated. Now, both the official Debian sid and our Squeeze backports packages have that (for both bird and bird6): http://ftp.debian.org/debian/pool/main/b/bird/bird_1.3.3-1_i386.deb ftp://bird.network.cz/pub/bird/debian/dists/squeeze/main/binary-i386/net/ bird_1.3.3-1~bpo60+1_i386.deb
