Birded Niagara area Jan. 2-4: after two afternoons failing to find the Black-headed Gull at the waterfall upriver from Queenston, located the bird at 10.10 am today 30 metres off the waterfall. Yesterday there was an adult  Little Gull at this same spot as well as another off the boat ramp at Queenston (at 2 pm). Also in this area are 200 Robins plus one Flicker. Drive down to the parking lot above the boat ramp and walk towards the Lewiston Bridge.
At Adam Beck were 2 Kumlein's Iceland Gulls, a Little Gull, Lesser Black-backed, Glaucous and a Great Blue Heron. A first-winter Iceland was at the penstocks above the Falls.
