January 11th, 2003
A magnificent mature bald eagle was seen today high in the trees on the edge
of the bay on the road to Prince Edward Point.
There continue to be large numbers of over-wintering waterfowl, including
Canada geese, common mergansers, scaups, buffleheads, longtails,
white-winged scoters and mallards. A winter wren was seen near the
lighthouse at Point Traverse.
