Cranberry Marsh turned out the usual spring migrants including 3 tree swallows flying over the marsh. A white-throated sparrow was also singing where the feeder is located. Another birder also said he found a golden-crowned kinglet in the woods and several people mentioned that a mature male pheasant frequently visits the feeder area. Towards the main road, a flock of horned larks was visible in the corn fields.
The main marsh wasn't frozen over but there were very few ducks (mostly Canada Geese and Black Ducks) in the marsh. Cranberry is near the base of Hall's Rd. in southwest Whitby,ON,CA Thanks Jacques Giraud "Jacques Giraud" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
