At the Komoka Ponds today, a Red-necked Grebe was present. Since the neck colour was not extensively red, the bird was clearly not in breeding plumage. A Common Loon (breeding plumage) was also present on April 9 along with good numbers of Bufflehead and Hooded Merganser.
