Good morning,

Bird activity in the Park continues to be relatively slow. Just like the
past several days, the diversity of species remains good, but overall
numbers have not increased. This is not surprising given the fact the
winds have not shifted to the south.

*** As o f 10:45 a.m. the adult male KIRTLAND'S WARBLER reported late
yesterday north of Sanctuary has not been refound today. Many people have
come and gone hoping that it may reappear. We will post an update if it
is refound.


Other noteworthy birds recorded this morning include:

Cerulean Warbler - (1 female) - Tip area
Blue-winged Warbler - (1 female) - Tip area
White-eyed Vireo - (3 + 1) Visitor Centre to Tip tram stop and one hit by
a car :(
Red-headed Woodpecker - (1 ) - Tip area
Eastern Bluebird - (2 males, 1 female) - West Beach
Olive-sided Flycatcher - (1) - DeLaurier
Mourning Warbler - (1) - Botham Tree Trail
Summer Tanager - (1 female) - rumours of one at the Tip

*** Kirtland's Warbler - (1 adult male) - Sanctuary (m. obs.)
*** Virginia's Warbler - (1 female?) - Northwest Beach (unconfirmed
reported received this morning, rare bird report to be filled in)
Cerulean Warbler - 1 female - Northwest Beach
Golden-winged Warbler - 1 - Blue Heron
Golden-winged Warbler - 1 - Sleepy Hollow
Grasshopper Sparrow - 1 - Sparrow Field
