Observation start time: 09:00:00
Observation end time: 12:00:00
Total observation time: 3 hours

Official Counter: Calvin Brennan

Observers: Raburn Howland

Weather:
On the heals of last nights thunderstorms and intense low pressure system,
today saw a mix of sun and cloud with occasional slow flurries. Winds were
very strong and gusty from the west-northwest.

Observations:
Only a few hours were spent at the watch as few birds flew as might well be
expected.

With the strong winds, a shallow channel was all that remained of the inlet
at the boat launch. The gulls were busily taking advantage of the land
locked food supply and noted among the regular species were an adult Great
Black-backed Gull and a first winter Glaucous Gull.
