Birding yesterday with Lou Marsh and Dan Salisbury, from Stony Creek to
Rock Pt., produced a few decent birds. We were unable to locate the
Barrow's goldeneye at Stony Creek, but subsequently things improved.

Red-throated loon (Green Rd., Stony Creek); a second one later on the
Niagara River.
California gull (adult), the usual place on the rocks just down river
from the Robert Moses power plant, (opposite Adam Beck, Queenston).
A late Golden eagle adult, flying, just up river from Adam Beck.
Adult Little gull (gorge below the falls).
Tufted titmouse, Chippawa (Thomas St.)
Brant (1), Port Colborne, on the shore with Canadas.
Purple sandpiper (1), Rock Pt. (The only shorebird on the beach).
Northern shrike (near Smithville).

Only seven species of gulls, with an adult Iceland gull at Adam Beck
being the only additional species, (other than the four usual ones).
