On Tuesday December 30th a dry run was conducted of what is hoped to become
the
annual Lanark Highlands CBC.  It is centred on Watson's Corners, northwest
of the village of Lanark in Lanark County.  The day started with pouring
rain that changed to intermittent drizzel through the day.    2843 birds of
33 species were seen by 30 field observers and 10 feeder watchers:
