Ontbirders, They're back! Or maybe they never left. At 3:00 this afternoon, there were about 2 000 Snow Buntings on the western side of the west meadow at Cranberry. They could only be seen from Lake Ridge Rd.
Again they were feeding in the second last weed field from the lake and flying back and forth across Lake Ridge Rd. to rest. Directions: Lake Ridge Rd. is also known as Highway 23 and it runs south along the Whitby Ajax border. Halls Rd. is the first road east of Lake Ridge running south off Victoria Street.
