At 3:30 this afternoon I had a Louisiana Waterthrush at Long Point
Provincial Park. It was foraging along the margin of a small pond in some of
the dogwood thickets in the pines. Since the gate to the park is not yet
open, you have to walk in. It was north of the most north-westerly beach
parking lot.

Also present in the park were dozens (50+) each of E. Phoebe and Northern
Flickers, 4 Fox Sparrow, 2 Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, 2 Eastern Towhee, 1
Ruby-crowned Kinglet, and 1 Myrtle Warbler. Golden-crowned Kinglets and
Brown Creepers were everywhere.

To reach Long Point Provincial Park follow Highway 59 to the very end of the
road. You have to walk in from the gate.

Good Birding,

Matt Timpf, Walsingham
