Wed Apr 14- morning at Oshawa Second Marsh - at main platform just below GM 
Offices, NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD, SEDGE WREN(heard), RED SHOULDERED HAWK, 3 LITTLE 
GULLS, many BONAPARTES GULLS, 3 CASPIAN TERNS, 2 GREATER YELLOWLEGS.
At western platform, VIRGINIA RAILS kiddicking away(not seen). 
Lots of ducks including both TEALS. Good view of waterfowl from eastern edge of 
marsh. A COMMON LOON on lake and BELTED KINGFISHER patrolling the shore.
On Cranberry Marsh, 4 RUDDY DUCKS visible from west and east sides. Lots of 
other waterfowl.

In Thickson woods, YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER and a GREAT HORNED OWL hooting at 
3:15PM.

Oshawa Second Marsh - Take the Harmony Road exit from the 401 and go south to 
Colonel Sam drive 
where you turn left.  Go to the south-west edge of the GM parking lot. The 
platform is visible below you. There is also a 2nd platform further west 
through the woods.

For Cranberry Marsh off Hall's Road -take interchange 410 off 401 and follow 
Brock St south to Victoria, then right for about 2 km to Halls Rd on your left; 
turn south(left) and go almost to the lake. Viewing platforms (2) are on left 
side of Halls Rd down cinder paths. 

Thickson Woods - Hwy 401 to interchange 412 then south on Thickson Rd almost to 
lake. Park on private road running east from Thickson Rd on the north side of 
the woods.
