Rondeau Daily Report May12/04

Another day with a good over-all selection of passerines. I spent the morning
at Wheatley so missed out on the Hooded Warblers that were seen on both Tulip
Tree and Spicebush Trails. A Yellow-breasted Chat was also found along the
Tulip Tree today. The Black-billed Cuckoo seen along Spicebush is the first of
the year reported for the park.

At least one female Prothonotary Warbler has arrived and a pair was checking
out a nest box along the Tulip Tree Trail.

The Friends of Rondeau are sponsoring two guided hikes daily until May 23rd.
