It was a surprise for all who attended at one of last counting days at Beamer
park.

Apparently the threat of thunderstorms was an invention of the media alarmists.
The weather held, and the birds migrated.

The following was seen by counter George Myers, Tom Reavely, Bowie Bergsma, and
myself:

Where applicable the reader should add the word hawk(s)

Sharp Shins:28

Broad Wing: 10

Red Tail 47

Rough Legged 1

Red Shouldered 1

N Harrier 8

Merlin 1 n
T Vulture 44

Osprey 1

Bald Eagle: 4

Unidentified Eagle 1

Unidentified Raptors 2

Unidentified Buteo 1

Visitors: N Oriole, Red Bellied Woodpecker, Great Blue Herron: Chimney Swift

For those who like to keep track of these things, the flight path was all over
the place. Literally, the birds were at tree level, stratospheric, and about
every conceivable attitude and altitude in between.

Tomorrow may be another good day. My advice is to do your own weather
forecasting.

Keep looking up.
