At 11:30 a Piping Plover was at the newly filled in Tollgate Pond on
Eastport Drive. It is is in winter plumage and was feeding near a flock of
Dunlin. Least Sandpipers and a Blue Winged Teal were also there with the
other usual suspects.

Directions: from the QEW from Toronto take the Eastport Drive exit in
Burlington at the lakeshore and follow Eastport Drive across the Bay and
watch for the bermed in ponds. The south easterly pond that is landfilled
in has a major puddle and it is where the birds were.
