Hi Everyone Today, October 19, 2004 I observed a 1st winter Black-legged Kittiwake at Constance Bay along the Ottawa River. The kittiwake was flying along the shoreline heading up river and I lost sight of it behind some trees at around 1:30pm. I checked for the next hour at various point along the river with no luck. There were also a number of shorebirds including 47 Black-bellied Plover, 22 Dunlin, 6 White-rumped Sandpiper and 1 Sanderling. There was still one adult Red-headed Woodpecker at the old burn site. good birding Bruce
