I haven't seen any other postings for this bird. Lynne Terris and I found a Barred Owl in Thickson's Woods today just after noon.
We were alerted to the bird's presence by another birder as we were entering the woods. The bird sat for a long time in a deciduous tree west of the sightings book. We were also able to find one of the resident Great Horned Owls in a Pine tree along the south boundary of the woods. Thickson's Woods is located at the South end of Thickson's Road in Whitby.
