Observation start time: 08:00:00
Observation end time: 16:00:00
Total observation time: 8 hours

Official Counter: Calvin Brennan

Observers: Jim Maki, Terry Angevine, Walt Pawloski

Weather:
Today began mostly overcast and hazy with light to moderate north winds.
Gradual clearing took place over the course of the day with the winds
picking up out of the east-northeast.

Observations:
A steady movement of birds was recorded starting in mid morning and
continuing through the remainder of the day. The flight was spread out
over much of the sky, although there were few birds that crossed to the
south over the lake, a bit surprising given the wind direction.
Highlighting the day was the best showing so far this fall for Golden
Eagles, several passing directly over the count area. Among the Red-tails
was a dark morph adult. We seem to be having a banner year on dark morph
Red-tails with a dozen or so seen already this season.

This was also a very good migration day for crows with large numbers coming
through all day long numbering certainly in the 10s of thousands.
