Fog and rain. Mostly fog. Counted from 7:45-10 AM EST. Lightening storm from 10-11 AM NO COUNT Conducted. Count restarted at 11 AM and ended at 1 PM At one point the visibility was less than 500 feet! Observations: NO raptors going westward (migrating). Two Bald Eagles went eastward along the shore and below tree line. They appeared to be immatures. they didn't return. 1,000+ blackbirds (mostly Redwings), 2 Common Snipe, 4 male Downey Woodpecker, 1 Solitary Vireo (seems late). Woodcock banded today at station.
