After viewing the Western Grebe at Fifty Point, Mike and I birded
the Stoney Creek lakeshore, at Fruitland Road, we spotted a first-winter
male King Eider with a flock of scaup, as we were leaving the Eider flew
east so it's probably wise to check other locations along the lake. This
bird is very female-like in plumage, except for it's bill, which is a
orangish colour. There were all three species of scoters and at least 2
Red-throated Loons on the lake.
