The usual fall waterfowl are being observed in the area - Redhead, Scoters,
Long-tailed Ducks, Common and Red-throated Loons, Horned and Red-necked Grebes,
Goldeneye, Bufflehead, all three Mergansers, etc. Check the Owen Sound
harbour, the shore road between Dyer's Bay and Cabot Head, and the Lake Huron
shoreline.

A few Bonaparte's gulls are still hanging around the Wiarton area. Great
Black-backed gulls can be observed between the Southampton harbour and Chantry
Island. No white-winged gulls reported yet.

There have been two Trumpeter Swans on the river by the Boat Lake bridge - both
tagged males. Sir Isaac (#543) was released at Isaac Lake in 2002 and spent
the summer there again this year. His new friend (#767) was released near
Flesherton in 2001 according to Harry Lumsden's records. The bridge in on
Bruce Road 13 between Oliphant and Wiarton.

There was a Townsend's Solitaire at Cabot Head yesterday. Possibly the same
one reported a few weeks ago by Stef Menu. Cabot Head is at the northeast tip
of the Bruce Peninsula.

An immature Golden Eagle was observed being harassed by a couple of crows on
Bruce Road 13 just south of Sauble Beach.

3 times up to 1400.
