For the second day in a row a Northern Shrike was perching in all the trees
used by the Northern Hawk Owl on Robert Dollar Dr. in Bracebridge. From
it's arrival on January 1 to Wednesday I had seen and photographed the hawk
owl at least 30 times.

It may still be around but had been less reliable over the last 10 days.
Taking the first exit into Bracebridge at Hwy 118 off Hwy 11 will take you
to Robert Dollar Dr. just past Leons. The poplars behind Rich Hill Candles
and Muskoka Window and Door are the most common perches.
