Lately the Great Gray Owls have been appearing in the Hall's Rd. area at
unpredicatable times. Today, Friday--2 were seen up to 9a.m., perched in
roadside trees and hunting in the field, before flying into the woods. The
same is repeated on some evenings before dark. There are perhaps 5 or more
still in the area between Hall's and Shoal Pt. Rd.
Barred Owls havce been seen in at least 4 areas-- Lynde Shores bird feeder
trail., Hall's Rd (incl. both pathways), LakeRidge Rd. and Shoal Pt. Rd.

At 10a.m. today I saw the male Pheasant at the feeding station at the north
pathway entry, along with the Red-bellied Woodpecker near the suet feeder
(now placed in a different tree). At the bottom of the road 4 White-tailed
deer were spotted this morning.

Exit 401 at Salem Rd. (in Ajax), south to Bayly, east to the first traffic
signal--south down Shoal Pt. Rd., driving beyond the stop sign. Returning to
Bayly, go east to Lakeridge, or to Hall's Rd., or to the Lynde Shores C.A.
parking lot.
