Monday May 23 10:00 a.m., Corinne and I had long looks (long enough for me to dash back to the car for the 'scope) at a Least Bittern. The bird was in the long grasses west of the viewing point described below.
Directions: >From Hwy 401 east side of Oshawa, take Exit 419 (Farewell St.) south to Colonel Sam Drive. Turn left - take it nearly to its end. Turn right into the General Motors parking lot just before the GM Canada Head Office building. The trails start at northwest end of the lot. Go down the path towards the marsh to the 'T', turn left (right is to the viewing platform) and follow path south (0.75 km?) through Cool Hollow, bear right and head for to the lake; bear right again (west) on the path just north of the beach and in a very short distance there is a small promontary with tall willows that juts into the south end of the marsh (very obvious lookout point for the whole south end of the marsh) From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon May 23 21:21:14 2005 Return-Path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Delivered-To: ontbirds@hwcn.org Received: from dog.cybersurf.com (dog.cybersurf.net [209.197.145.189]) by king.hwcn.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id B5822647DE for <ontbirds@hwcn.org>; Mon, 23 May 2005 21:21:11 -0400 (EDT) Received: from harvey (hs-yorkmills-209197162118.3web.net [209.197.162.118]) by dog.cybersurf.com (8.12.9/8.12.8) with SMTP id j4O1aWdn016987 for <ontbirds@hwcn.org>; Mon, 23 May 2005 19:37:50 -0600 Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> From: "Harvey Medland" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "ontbirds" <ontbirds@hwcn.org> Date: Mon, 23 May 2005 21:39:54 -0400 MIME-Version: 1.0 X-Priority: 3 X-MSMail-Priority: Normal X-Mailer: Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2800.1158 X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V6.00.2800.1165 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable X-Content-Filtered-By: Mailman/MimeDel 2.1.1 Subject: [Ontbirds]Re change e-mail address X-BeenThere: ontbirds@hwcn.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.1 Precedence: list X-List-Received-Date: Tue, 24 May 2005 01:21:14 -0000 To Whom it May Concern, Please change my e-mail address to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thank you.
