While out photographing common terns on Long Island, Sparrow Lake, I saw two
Bonaparte's gulls at the water's edge of the ring-billed gull colony. They
appear to be first year birds. They are in neither first winter nor adult
non-breeding plumage. I have several pictures which I will forward to the
OFO website.

Two Caspian Terns also seen loafing.

Sparrow Lake is west of Hwy 11, north of the Severn River. The colonies are
accessible by boat only.
