hELLO fELLOW bIRDERS,
We sighted the first 6 GREAT BLUE HERONS up on the nests in the HERONRY
north of Taunton Rd., west of Altona Rd. & east of York-Durham Townline this
week.
We continue to enjoy a BARRED OWL in the orchard north of our place on 590
Mill St. S. Newcastle. We have several PINE SISKINS & AMERICAN GOLDFINCHES
which are beginning to change into the brighter yellow color and the firs
SONG SPARROW.
Directions: Drive west on Taunton Rd. from Oshawa and east on Steeles from
Brampton and look for approximately 35 nests in the tops of trees on the
north side of Taunton Rd.
Take Exit 440 by Newcastle, Mill St. S. # 590 and enjoy the feeders from
your car on the road.
